Anew WhatsApp Scam has arrived. Named RediRoff.com, the scam circulated on the instant meta-apparent messaging application for a few days. According to reports, fraudsters use the WhatsApp scam to steal users from their personal and financial data such as the bank and the details of the map. The spam link can also infect Windows PCs, as well as iOS and Android smartphones.

We do not know when the scam started, but a CNBC report indicates that it has affected a large group of people this holiday season taking into account costly gift promises. Depending on the report, the scammers send a link to WhatsApp users and once a user clicks on the link, a website opens on which users can earn a reward by completing an investigation. Once a user answers questions, they are redirected to a website where they are invited to complete some of their information such as name, age, address, banking information and other personal data.

Once users enter these details, they are with the scales and you can not do anything to change that. These details can be misused to make fraudulent transactions or other illegal activities. The rospers can also install potentially unwanted applications on the user’s device.

Whenever a user receives a message with a RediRuff.ru link, they must immediately report it as spam and delete it. If they accidentally click on it, they must scan their devices for any malicious or virus software.
