NEW DELHI An sanctioned statement from the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday informed that the Republic day festivity, interspersed to be held on 26 January will see increased restrictions and reduction in number of guests amid rising cases of the new coronavirus nationally, news agency ANI reported.

A contingent of five Central Asian nations, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan has arrived in Delhi to share in theevent.These nations will be the principal guests of the event Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Defence on Tuesday held a common meeting to bandy the Covid safety protocols, security of callers to be stuck on the day of the event.

It was during this meeting it was decided that there will be stricter restrictions and reduced number of callers in addition to the restrictions followed last time 26 January The route of the cortege will be shorter as analogous to last time. The marching contingent will end at the India Gate C-Hexagon rather of Red Fort. The Rajpath that has been reworked under Central Vista has been opened between Vijay Chowk and India Gate for trial of contingent sharing in Republic Day Parade 2022,”the sanctioned told ANI.

“All companies attending cortege at Rajpath on Republic Day have to rigorously misbehave with the COVID-19 advisory that includes temperature check, sanitizer, mask, and social distancing. The decision on making vaccine instrument obligatory for companies will be decided in the coming meeting,”he added The functionary further informed that just like last time, the entry to the Republic Day cortege will rigorously be through the assignation card.

Children below the age of 15 times won’t be allowed at the cortege Entry to Republic Day Fests-2022 will be rigorously through Assignation Card. All those, who do not have a valid Assignation Card are advised to watch the live programme at home. Children below 15 times of age aren’t allowed to fests at Rajpath. And no standing observers would be allowed,”he said.

The functionary said that the seating arrangements could further be reduced as against callers allowed in the cortege despite the seating capacity of 1 lakh observers Medical brigades will be stationed outside each quadrangle to insure health safety of callers. To maintain social distancing, the entry gates to the cortege will be increased,”the functionary added.
