A video that shows a man catching shark with empty -handed hands becomes viral on social media. The clip was shot at Smith Point Beach, New York. The clip caught the man who was shaken in a rough teeth shark with a hook line and then caught it with his tail. Sharks struggled to escape several times before finally being captured by the man. The man continued to release the shark back into the sea. Social media users are stunned to that achievement and expressed their astonishment in a rare sight.

A user wrote, “Grateful he did the right thing and released sharks”. Another user wrote, “I was there, it was an outside beach. That person really caught the same shark twice because after he caught him, he marked that.” Smith Point, at Barrier Fire Island Beach, is a popular place with surfers and beach lovers.

According to Newsweek, rough-toothed sharks, often referred to as concise toothed sharks or sand tigers, are gray nursing sharks that usually live close to the sandy seabed between 30 and 750 feet. Considering their peaceful attitude, this shark is referred to as “Labradors of the Sea.” The Red List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has registered them as “vulnerable,” making them one of the most endangered shark species.
