At least two cases of people who are infected with a deadly HIV infection after getting a tattoo appeared in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, who had sounded alarm on visiting cheap tattoo homes. According to Dr. Preeti, Walwal from Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Hospital, after careful examination and counseling, it is known that HIV patients have made tattoos carried out after their health began to deteriorate.

A 20 -year -old man from Baragon and a 25 -year -old woman from Nagma was among 14 people who fell ill. Several tests were carried out including the typhoid malaria virus which turned out to be negative. When the fever does not go down, the HIV test is carried out where they are found positive for the disease.

After checking the details, it was found that HIV positive patients have been infected with sexual diseases or through infected blood. One common thing among patients is that they all get tattoos that are made new. An investigation of this problem also revealed that infected people have got a tattoo made of the same person who uses the same needle to all. According to DR Agarwal, tattoo needles are expensive so that tattoo artists often use the same needle to save money.
